Commercial Cleaning Checklist for Property Managers

For property managers overseeing cleaning across one or more commercial sites, a few recurring questions help keep programs on track.

Is the scope still accurate?

Occupancy and usage patterns change. A scope written two years ago may no longer reflect how the space is actually used.

Are high-touch areas covered adequately?

Entry doors, lift buttons, shared kitchens and amenities generally need more frequent attention than general floor space.

Is floor care being maintained, not just reactive?

A routine floor care program reduces how often costly restoration work like strip and seal is needed.

Are inspections happening, and are they documented?

Ask to see inspection records, not just a description of the process.

Is communication working both ways?

A responsive point of contact for raising and resolving issues matters as much as the cleaning itself.
